Resumen

Objetivo: realizar uma revisão integrativa da literatura, buscando discutir as principais alterações provocadas pelos géis clareadores em superfícies de materiais restauradores (resina composta, cerâmica odontológica) e no esmalte dentário. Método: foi realizado um levantamento literário nas bases de dados: PubMed e BVSalud no período de 2000 a 2022 usando os descritores: Clareamento dental (Tooth Whitening), clareadores (Whiteners) e propriedades de superfície (Surface properties), além de uma busca realizada nas referências desses artigos para complementar as informações levantadas. Resultados: foram objeto de análise exploratória artigos de revisão sistemática, pesquisas laboratoriais in vitro e relatos de caso clínico e, após criteriosa filtragem, foram selecionados 16 artigos para compor o estudo. Conclusão: a alta variedade de resultados mostra que ainda são necessários estudos mais abrangentes dentro da temática, que sejam capazes de observar de como as alterações provocadas pelos géis clareadores impactam na cavidade oral.
